ScoutTrack Pack 118 subscribes to a website, www.ScoutTrack.com that allows us to track and report the boys’ achievements online. We are asking all parents to visit the website and keep track of all current and future achievements there. Your den leader may be updating some den activities, but as a parent you are ultimately in charge of keeping track of your boys’ achievements. This is a quick way to keep track, but more importantly an efficient way to communicate their achievements to our advancement coordinator so they will receive the appropriate awards at the Pack gatherings. Please update ScoutTrack by the Friday before each Pack Meeting to make sure your son will receive the awards he has earned. When you visit the site you need to have a User ID and Password. - If you have given us your e-mail address we have entered it into ScoutTrack and you will be sent an ID and Password along with an invitation to visit the site.
- If you did not receive an ID and Password please give your den leader your e-mail address again and we will get one set up for you.
- If you received an ID and Password with an invitation to use the site but have lost or misplaced it please let us know and we will ask Scouttrack to send you the information.
Type in the web address www.ScoutTrack.com. Then, click on the button in the upper right corner that says Log in. Enter your name and password (password twice) and click OK. From the next screen your son’s name should be listed and you can click on the links for his achievements, electives or belt loops and pins. When you first login, please go to Change your profile and complete the information there. If you prefer that your information not be available to other members of the pack, check the keep private box. Make sure you click save on the right and the return button. Explore the different choices simply by clicking the links. The achievements and electives will be different based on your Cub Scout's rank . Achievements - This takes you to a page with the various advancements or activities with links. By clicking on the link, you can expand each advancement. Scroll to the right and select one of the buttons corresponding to a specific requirement. It may say “not planned or done”. Clicking on it takes you to a page where you can plan, or mark as completed the requirement. Alternatively, click on the Quick Entry link and you can enter a lot of information easily. Read the hint and examples at the top of the page. Sports and Academics Pins work the same way. Calendar built into ScoutTrack.com is not used by Pack 118 - use the calendar on our website www.pack118.org Click on Pack Directory or Den Roster to see contact information for all the members of the pack. Click on the E-mail links to send messages to your entire den or just the leaders. There is a quick entry button that shows a shortened version of the activities. This is much quicker to enter achievements in. Type in the date once and every square you click after that will put the same date in there. What if we don’t have internet access???? There are 2 options. - Prepare a list of the achievements your son has completed and ask your den leader or another parent in your den who is designated to enter them online.
- At any Public Library you can go to the web site. Bring your book, you will need to enter the dates for each activity.
Remember! Hit the Save button before you leave a page! When you are done, press Log out. |
